Background Check

In order to aquire a permit, all accounts require a current Background Check Validation. This is proccessed and managed by the PTA CLEP and is an annual requirement. See below for instructions on obtaining your background check.

 

Under 18:

Please notify CLEOs at the e-mail address below to request a background check validation.

18 and older:

All hunters and visitors are required to have a current background check pior to entering USAG - Pohakuloa. Please submit a photo of your ID at the e-mail address below. See the list of acceptable IDs below.

Military, Retirees, Dependents, and Government Employees:

DO NOT send copies or photographs of any U.S. Government badges, IDs (including CAC and VA ID cards), or insignia (18 USC SEC 701). You may e-mail a photo of your State Driver License/ID Card, or report to PTA Police Station in person with your government ID to receive your Background Validation.

Disabled Hunters:

To receive your crossbow/disabled hunter validation, hunters may submit a copy of their DLNR-DOFAW issued Vehicle-Use and/or Crossbow Permit to the e-mail below, or present their permit(s) to the CLEO upon entering PTA.

 

ACCEPTABLE IDs:

REAL ID compliant State ID Card or Driver License, U.S. Passport.

UNACCEPTABLE IDs:

Limited Term/Limited Purpose Driver License, Non-U.S. Passport, TWIC Cards, Common Access Cards, VA Identification Cards.
